No clue on the model. My guess based on the eBay listing is that they came off a large cc HD. They look aftermarket (genuine HD, as etched in the muffler). I don't know if any stock Harleys come with slash-cut mufflers recently.
I don't have them on yet to know how loud they will be, but if you look at the photos in the link I posted with the original message, you'll see there ain't much there to muffle sound! So yes, I believe this muffler would be "like screaming down the street loud" as you put it. I'm not that hard-core. Plus, I figure running this "open pipe" would require some bigtime carb jet mods and I don't want to get into that right now.
I want to mess with it but I don't, you know what I mean? It's like I want to spend time working on the muffler, but when it's nice outside I just want to ride. Maybe it'll be my first Winter '03-'04 project in Dec.!

On a side note, a neigbor *who owns a motorcycle* was walking his dog while I was washing my bike yesterday. It was 45-50 degrees, around 4 pm. The guy said, "It's gonna be a while still before you'll get to ride that, huh?" I thought to myself, geez, I'd already been out three times this season and plan on riding all weekend at least an hour a each day. What does this guy need the weather to be like to ride?! I'm not saying I'm a "better-biker", but sheesh.
It's like when you find out about the best kept secret and you wonder why you haven't done this your whole life. That's how I feel about riding. Yeah, the Savage is cool, but isn't any bike? God, they are so cool. I'd be so bummed without mine. When I dumped it last June and I thought I ruined it, I felt this hole immediately. Then this forum got me back rollin'. I owe you all bigtime for that.
Maybe I'm just obsessed or something, but I've missed the open road...
